Born in the Philippines and raised in Canada, Carlos moved to Toronto in 2000 to attend the Randolph Academy for the Performing Arts.
He went on to host popular YTV shows such as The Zone, Big Fun Movies and the reality competition series The Next Star in its fifth and sixth seasons, as well as having a recurring acting role in their hit series Make it Pop.
Carlos became part of the ET Canada family in 2017, interviewing some of the biggest celebrities in the world including Cher, Tina Fey, Robert Downey Jr., and iconic Star Wars star Mark Hamill.
A proud husband and father of two, Carlos spends his free time watching action movies and having family dance parties in the kitchen.

Biography:
Carlos Bustamante is a familiar face to Canadians young and young at heart. As the host of The Zone and Big Fun Movies on YTV, Carlos brings cartoons, comedy, and pop culture to over 11 million homes across the country every day.
Carlos won a Canadian Screen Award for his stint as the host of The Next Star, and has done work with the animated show Nerds and Monsters and is a recurring character on the hit Nickelodeon/YTV show Make it Pop. In his time as an on air personality, Carlos has also interviewed some of the world's biggest and Brightest stars including Taylor Swift, Ariana Grande, Robert Downey Jr. and Justin Bieber among many others.

Carlos Bustamante is a Canadian television personality, who has been an entertainment reporter for Entertainment Tonight Canada since 2017.[1] Prior to joining ET Canada he was a host of programming for YTV, including The Zone (2002–2018) and The Next Star.[2]
Early life
Born in Manila, Philippines, Bustamante moved to Canada at a young age, with his family first settling in Calgary, Alberta. After a few years, his family lived between Vancouver and Toronto.[3] Bustamante also lived in Burlington, Ontario, and was a tap dancer in his youth.[4]
Awards
Bustamante won the Canadian Screen Award for Best Host in a Pre-School, Children's or Youth Program or Series at the 2nd Canadian Screen Awards in 2014 for The Next Star,[5] and was a nominee in the same category at the 3rd Canadian Screen Awards in 2015. He was a dual nominee at the 10th Canadian Screen Awards in 2022, receiving nods for Host of a Talk Show or Entertainment News Prog
