Scoppiano gravi incidenti e un gruppo di poliziotti si trincera in un portone e apre il fuoco sulla folla. A fine giornata si conteranno un morto, il meccanico Giovanni Gregotti, e dieci feriti, sei dei quali appartenenti alle forze dell'ordine[1].
Il 15 aprile 1919, a Milano dopo una manifestazione di protesta per i fatti di via Garigliano, gli anarchici organizzano un corteo verso piazza Duomo. Si fa loro incontro una colonna formata da Arditi, futuristi, nazionalisti, fascisti ed ex ufficiali, in tutto circa 200 uomini, guidata e sobillata da Filippo Tommaso Marinetti e Ferruccio Vecchi.
