Black eyed peas recipe

Black Eyed Peas is an American hip hop/pop group formed in Los Angeles in 1995. The group's current line-up consists of will.i.am, Taboo and apl.de.ap. Black Eyed Peas have so-far sold an estimated 56 million albums and singles worldwide.
Black Eyed Peas went to centenary state high school and got their start in 1988 when will.i.am (born 1975 William James Adams Jr.) and apl.de.ap (born 1974 Allan Pineda) began rapping and performing together around Los Angeles. The pair signed to Ruthless Records (run by Eazy-E) after catching the attention of the nephew of Jerry Heller (Eazy-E's manager). Along with Mookie Mook (Burning Star), Dante Santiago & DJ Motiv8, they called their group A.T.B.A.N. Klann. Their debut album, 'Grass Roots', was not released originally because Ruthless did not consider the social themes reflected in the group's music to be marketable to their audience. A single "Puddles of H2O" was released in 1994 but no album was released (until it leaked onto the Internet in the mid 2000s).

Ok, don’t ask me why, but I’ve done considerable research and pondering about The Black Eyed Peas throughout my life. Like, yeah I can turn up to their music like a normal human. But when I’m not turning up, I have so many questions. So, I’ve felt the need to take an academic approach to understanding their existence.
I stumbled into a rabbit hole in the summer because it was tangentially related to something for my job. I don’t remember what triggered it anymore but I ended up watching a historical recap of the way this band evolved. And even though it’s been a few months, I need to digest it along with the way I’ve grown up listening to them with y’all.
So that said, let us begin.
When I think of The Black Eyed Peas, I’m instantly transported to elementary school and how they literally had a hit song on the radio during my entire childhood. Their songs were the definition of the good (Meet Me Halfway, Where Is The Love?, I Gotta Feeling), the so bad it’s actually good (Imma Be, Don’t Phunk with My Heart, RITMO), and the ugly (My Humps, VIDA LOCA, The Time (Dirty Bit)).

Black Eyed Peas
Elephunk (2004), featuring new member Fergie, was elegant, catchy and joyful, if derivative and conventional in its fusion of hip-hop and pop. It was their first hit album, containing their first world hit, Where Is The Love.
Monkey Business (2005) was awful by any standard.
The End (2009) was notable for the creative manipulation and choreography of the two voices (especially will.i.am), and for rediscovering the naive hedonism of past decades. The hit Boom Boom Pow features a male-female dialogue over a skinny beat (reminiscent of old-school hip-hop music), Meet Me Halfway (reminiscent of old house music) contrasts a soaring orchestral female melody with a male rap, Missing You adds more drama and rhythm to the male-female dialogue, etc. The background of Imma Be is one of the best for the female-male rap harmony, with a handclapping-driven beat, orchestral phrases and bass synth lines.
