Bindusara was the second ruler of the Mauryan dynasty and the son of Chandragupta Maurya, the founder of the Mauryan Empire. Though he ruled the large empire for a long period of 25 years, there has been very little mentioned in the historical texts as compared to other rulers of ancient India.
