Day 27 – Peter Ram

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]The name Peter Ram is a strong one in the Caribbean’s music and entertainment landscape, especially so in the past few years. He’s truly an entertainment veteran, starting his career in the 80’s as a DJ before moving on to becoming a songwriter and artiste.

The entertainer, whose real name is Peter Wiggins has written songs for some of the big names in the Soca music industry, among them, Alison Hinds and King Bubba. Many of his compositions have been released by VP Records on some of their compilation albums.

Over the years, Peter Ram has proven fully capable of destroying stages with his quick wit and flow. Among his hits is a song called, “The Pledge”, which was done in 2003 and dedicated to the people of his homeland, Barbados. Other crowd pleasers recorded and performed over the years by the artiste, include, “Woman By My Side,” “Pumpin” in 2008, “Tight” also in 2008,  “Go Gyul” in 2012,  “All Ah We” written by Jason Shaft Bishop and “Good Morning”- a song that was done for Cropover 2016 but continues to generate

Birthday Big Up: Peter Ram celebrates during the month of love

Three days into the month of February and the birthday love is flowing for the Bajan ‘freestyle boss” Peter Ram.

Known for his several hits including “Woman by my Side”, “All Uh We” and “Good Morning”, Ram is one of the island’s veteran entertainers whose expert talent for stringing together unrehearsed lyrics goes unmatched.

As his day of celebration unfolded, the entertainer appeared to be in a reflective mood, taking to his social media platforms to remember those who he had lost in 2021.

His Instagram post read “Another circle around the universe bring tears to my eyes coz my brother Ruben nor my best friend Jon doe din get to celebrate with me but I give thanks. I kno you watching from above the clouds as I make the journey. Guide and protect me. I give thanks once again.”

Scores of fans, supporters and fellow entertainers also took to social media to show ‘De Ramma’ some love on his day.
