The Council of Ministers of Meles Zenawi or Zenawi cabinet, was the cabinet of Prime MinisterMeles Zenawi, who ruledEthiopia from 1991 until his death in 2012. The cabinet was formed on 11 October 2005 with the aim of tackling government weakness and to end poverty in Ethiopia. Critics stated that the new cabinet cannot afford accountability to the parliament because of not reflecting ethnic diversity Meles' supporters. Some leading political figures that supported Meles lost their jobs with 11 ministers were replaced as the incumbent reshuffled the post.^[1]

The House of Peoples' Representatives (HPR) approved 347 votes, 66 objections and four abstentions during the first regular parliament session in that day.^[2]

Melaku Fenta is the former director general of the Ethiopian Revenues and Customs Authority (ERCA) whose high-powered career abruptly ended five years ago in relation to a high-profile corruption case. Two months ago, Melaku was released from prison following the decision by the new Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed (PhD) to pardon all suspects and convicts in high profile corruption, terrorism and related charges. Melaku, 50, served in the Ethiopian civil service for over 24 years starting from an expert level with the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs. History

Amhara Bank was inaugurated on 18 June 2022 at the Legahar Headquarter in Addis Ababa.^[5]^[6] It is private bank with the largest number of shareholders in the history of private banks in the country, according to the Amhara Media Corporation (AMC) report. As of January 2023, the bank had over 16,5000 share holders and over 73 branches across Ethiopia. Amhara had over 6.516 billion birr starting capital for its signature and 4.83 billion birr that are paid.^[3]
